Drone Records DR-64
As the yellow / grey / brown striped vinyl leaves the handmade cover, I know: It's a Drone. Hailing from Augsburg in South-Germany Emerge's music consists of scraping sounds in combination with found sounds and glacial atmospheres. All in all it's a very clean and neat production, not over-reverbed like some starting projects think drones always should be.
All that until dowmpitched voices and sounds enter the composition. The sound turns into a sort of Lustmord, mixed with Andrey Kiritchenko. That atmosphere is continued on the b-side entitled 'Profundity', albeit it with that difference that the emphasys is much more on the glitchy sounds.
After several self-released titles on tape and CD-r it's a great first official release.
