Desperate Diagram diag-002
There are three tracks on this black CD-r on this - for me - fully unknown label. The leaflet which is sent with the release is promising and speaks of a perfect addition "in the collections of all lovers of emotionally sophisticated electronic music". "Influences ranging from IDM and post rock, to industrial" is again a very promising sentence, but ... Sadly the release fails to comply with these promises.
The tracks are quite alike in sound and even though parts of it very nice (especially the bass sounds and layering) none of the tracks really jumps out of the "mwoah, okay" label.
At least, when looked at them in the perspective of there own promises. This is a release which will be very tasty for fans of electro and gameboy music, and I know there is a whole scene of it out there.
But post rock / idm and blending it into a sound which is there own? Sorry, but no.
