Ure Thrall - Arabian Knightmares

Tesco

What can all be said about this release. We'll go through it step by step ...

First of all, the packaging is very high standard. Full color cardboard design with eight beautiful postcards. Definitly one which holds the high standard of Tesco releases high.

Secondly, this CD is dedicated to the memory of Bryn Jones, who is better known as Muslimgauze. He released 185 titles upto now (of with over 70 after his unfortunate death in 1999) and still there are more titles to be released in the years to come. A true artist who will never be forgotten.

Thirdly, this CD is good! Eleven tracks are covering almost eighty minutes of arabian influenced downbeat, ambient and droney atmospheres. You can get this album and you won't be disappointed. It's great for active listening as well as a nice aural backdrop.

Finally: Ure Thrall worked on this release for about 4 years, which is very audible in the high quality production and composition. And the text on the booklet emphasizes that the concept behind this album is also well thought of - if you agree or disagree that's up to you. The pro-Palestinian statement Muslimgauze expressed through his music was adapted by Ure Thrall, very obviously translated in titles like 'Liberation Through Martyrdom', 'Assaulting The 50 Names Of Allah (A Call To Arms)' and 'The Lasting Peace That Only War Can Bring'.
