Licht-ung – Kristall

Drone Records

Keakiese Ernestinah and Milan Juan Sandbleistift. Even the names (if these are their real names) are poetic. The whole release is filled with words, without one being pronounced on the release itself. "Listen to the music in your head" it says, and "Heute war ich bei den weiBen elefantens (Today I was with the white elefants)". These two turn out to be the titles of the tracks on respectively the A and B side.

In complete alignment with the music, these words as well as the poem (or proze) on the cover are very descriptive while there is still a (deeper) meaning left open for your mind to work on.

High and low frequencies on the first side of the sky-blue 7" are talking to eachother, like the two persons in the cover-story. The reverse-side opens closer to the title of the release, as the sound of glass fills your head. It's strange how a clear and fragile sound like the sound of glass can be so intrusive to your emotions, but the result is impressive. High frecency noise, not as much a drone as it is experimental noise. But you won't hear me complain!

An one-inch-button with undetermined drawing is added to the packaging of this definite worthwile release.
