20.SV - Acid Vomit.Human Genocide

Autumn Wind Productions

The Swedish label Cthulhic Dawn Productions released several cassettes from 20.SV prior to the American Autumn Wind Productions releasing his first CD (and second and later this year also third). These releases are all re-releases of these earlier cassettes and why not. Hearing the music it is way to intense to be set aside for a larger audience, knowing that cassettes are nowadays a gimmick for a select few rather then a medium used to sell millions.

If you think the title is kinda weird, well the story is simple: 'Acid Vomit.Human Genocide' is a CD containing two of these earlier tape releases, being (yes) 'Acid Vomit' and 'Human Genocide'. It's all packed in a modest cardboard sleeve with eerie graphics, fitting the minimal yet impressive music very well.

'Acid Vomit' was originally four somewhat shorter tracks and these four tracks are first on this CD. With titles like 'Uranium Mines', 'Nuclear Storms', 'Suffocate.Acid Vomit' and the depresseve 'Disfigured Children.Radioactive Generation' the subject doesn't need no further explanation. But it's worth reading what the Autumn Wind website has to say: "ACID VOMIT channels crafted frequencies of the birth of the nuclear age and embodies visions of a time to come. ACID VOMIT deals with the birth of nuclear winter." The short powerful noisedrones indeed express the atmosphere one can only imagine with this imagery.

The 'Human Genocide' cassette was originally a 30 minute track on a single sided cassette, and it still is. A powerful noisescape reminding you of artists like Namanax and Daniel Menche, albeit in a quite noisy variation. The track is again based on nuclear wars, the destruction of man and the emptiness that remains. Not the most pleasant visions, but very well made audible by 20.SV.
