Bardoseneticcube - Lord Of Light

Deserted Factory

What started out as a dark ambient duo (with Sergey Matveev) nowadays seems to be the solo-project of the russian Igor Potsukailo. With his/their almost 30 releases under the name Bardoseneticcube it is quite obvious that Bardoseneticcube is not 'just another project'. And it might be added that these releases were also on highly respected ambient, drone & noise labels like Blade Records, taĆ¢lem from France, Athanor and the very well known Drone Records.

Deep layers of mostly unrecognisable but intriguing sounds form massive noisedrones on this CD-r 'Lords of Light', which was released in a limited edition of 180 copies.

As all tracks are untitled and the artwork is abstract as well as a bit dadaistic in nature, it's hard to describe possible concepts behind the album. So we'll stick to the atmospheres, which are all very mind(un)settling. The sounds do grasp you by the throat and they stick there, but just as sexual asphyxiation, there is joy to be foud in these opressing atmospheres.

An album definitly not for beginners in the genre, but a welcome addition to the collections of more practised and educated listener.
