Vava Kitora - Prithivi Mandragoire

Deserted Factory

Vava Kitora is a project which consists of two Japanese girls who together create music which is perfect for rituals. While listening you will be haunted by vision of the middle ages; The time when the Iron Maiden was still used on a daily base and nobody knew anything about why you should want to shave your armpits.

Sachiko and Yama-akago came together on may 11th in 2005 and recorded this album. The voices are of both the artists, but they also are both responsible for the instrumentation. With which they show they are definitly capable of more then moaning and breathing.

'Prithivi Mandragoire' counts two tracks and playes for 30 minutes. Next to the 20 minute title-track, the CD-r starts with 'Breath harmony' and together they form a perfect experience to listen at once.

I can't say that this is music with a large target-audience. And to be perfectly honest, I can't even say if I'm to be considered as a member myself. But the atmosphere created is strong and it will definitly appeal to many people. If you have Rose McDowell complete, and many recordings in the triangle formed between Current 93, Aghast and Zeni Geva then this is definitly $6 worth spending.
