Predominance - Hindenburg

Loki Foundation

This CD is a re-release from a '98 mini-album. As the artwork and title suggest, the theme is the disaster with the Hindenburg zeppelin. It caught fire after its first succesful flight on may 12th, 1937. A total of 36 people died and the zeppellin as airship never recovered from this tragedy.

Enough blabbing, music now. This CD was adviced to me and because of that i bought it. It's supposed to be very good - if not brilliant - and please forgive me, but it's not my opinion. There are some really good tracks on this CD nice dark droning powerambient, analog styled noises, really throbbing, pulsating tracks filled with tension. Totally my thing, but why is this album going to be on my 'sell'-list?

It's because of the vocals ... If not for the vocals on track 2, 5 and 8 it probably would have be played a lot more often, definitly worth the spot in my collection. But now? well: it's a very advicable album for people who are into soundscapes, power electronics, martial vocals as we so often see in occult folk.

It's definitly not bad at all. Worth the re-release on CD but instead of adding 2 tracks with vocals, they should have deleted that one old track and added some more of that gorgeous powerambient.
