Herbst9 on Drone Records? Yes! A little better know act gets a chance te release a 7" on this German label, which is better known for releasing unknown acts and giving them a chance. But Drone must have thought 'Why not?' and it definitly pays off.
Herbst9 does what they do best and create two tracks which would have fitted on any of there other albums. And still, when listening to their albums (which were all released on LOKI) I wouldn't right away say it's "drone-material".
It's hard to pinpoint this release down and tell you what the concept is about, but musically it's strong dark ambient with noisey layers all over the place.
The b-side has a minimal recurrent synth/sampled theme which will give you the idea of being lost in a place where there is no space or time.
