Strange Fortune SF3
This third release on Strange Fortune sadly only counts fourty minutes of music. Sadly, because it would have been more then fine if it lasted for double that time.
Tor Lundvall's music perfectly strikes the auditive interpretation of an 'Empty City' which is actually based on paintings by himself. Just like the paintings, the tracks are narrative of nature, meaning that it's not drones or electro acoustic stuf. Or in general stuff which is "hard to listen to" or "understand".
The journey through the 'Empty City' is one filled with desolation, forgotten buildings, cold northern winds, and still ... When listening to the album you feel the warmth of the life which once was, the loved ones that have been loved and the lives that were lived.
Best tracks are: 'Running Late', 'Buildings and Rain', '2:00 AM' & 'Clearing Sky'. This is ambient. To be exact: Very nice ambient. With an occasional beat-pattern ... Music to explore.
