Daniel Menche - Radiant Blood

Substantia Innominata sub01

A new label calls for a new approach; New concepts covering unknown territory. Stefan Knappe - known as the man behind Transgredient Records as well as Drone Records as well as member of Troum - must have thought "Why not make the unknown the concept" and so Substantia Innominata was born.

And a new label calls for a special first release and so Stefan must have thought "Let's ask Daniel Menche for this" and listening to 'Radiant Blood' this was a very wise choice. Two tracks on a brown and black marbled vinyl, with occasional red blurs based on some unknown sound but the result ... Oh my God ...

On the first side you are being sucked into a maelstrom of noise; You won't know anymore if you're alive or dead. Is the blood running through you or are you running through blood?

The reverse side is a bit more subdued, but the result of the composition is even better. An ultradynamic drone which goes on and on, slight ticks and seemingly erratic sounds ... These are true powerdrones, as only Mr. Menche can make them. And as with all releases by Daniel Menche, it is to be played at 45 rpm but it sounds really good at 33 too (and lasts longer *grin*).
