Aural Hypnox AHCDR02
One long track, entitled 'Scorpion Milk' on a black CD-r, a very nice hand painted cover (therefore different for all copies) and icecold ambient. Yes, The Finnish Aural Hypnox released a new CD, this time by Arktau Eos.
This CD isn't ambience for the people who are looking for a quick fix. You will need to take your time to get into it. Ultra minimal changes like I've heard before on the works of for example Jliat.
The main layer probably exists of a downpitched piano, under which - after approximatly 15 minutes - a very nice soundscape appears. I would've expected the background to become more a part of the whole, with this poduction you need to play it really really loud to be able to hear it all. And (believe me) at that volume the front layer begins to irritate after a while.
So the CD-r gets a 6,8. Would it be produced and mixed differently and more dynamic, it would have been definitly more. Because that background layer is gorgeous.
