Thisco
This split-CD on Thisco features three bands: Devhour, TatsuMaki & City Of Industry. All three of them provide 5 dancey techdustrial tracks with an EBM feel every now and then.
In 'Dementodic' Devhour adds a sort of metal feel to the techno-dustrial sounds. But it's only because of the vocals. Best track is 'Killer Fever'; this is party music, nothing more, nothing less. Fast paced beats, four to the floor, get some powder or pills and go.
TatsuMaki experiments a bit with samples but on 'Merry X-Mas' the result isn't good. 'Stage Suicide' and 'Smash The Cat' on the other hand are tracks that could very well fill dancefloors. Fast with good bass-lines and agressive vocals.
The tracks by City of Industry are the most commercial sounding from them all. These will definitly appeal the most to a larger audience. Absolute winners are 'New Flesh' because of the guitars and 'Fear The State And Industry' because of it's overall sound.
A good buy for DJ's to fill in the gaps on the dancefloor, but I think the release doesn't have enough synergy / cohesion to appeal a larger audience.
